How SafiSend checks sellers
Every badge and number on a SafiSend storefront is either verified by us or counted from real orders. Sellers cannot edit them.
- Identity verified
- The seller showed a national ID or passport and a selfie, reviewed by a person. We keep only the outcome, the document type and the last four digits.
- Payment verified
- The seller’s bank or M-Pesa payout account was verified by our payment partner, and the name matches their ID. This is what unlocks paying online.
- Registered business
- The seller provided a business registration number and certificate, which we reviewed.
- Orders completed
- Orders delivered or collected through SafiSend. Sellers cannot type this number; it is counted from real orders.
- % delivered
- Of orders sent out for delivery, the share confirmed with the buyer’s delivery code. Shown only after 20 deliveries so a new seller is not judged on one bad week.
- Dispute rate
- Problems reported by buyers per completed order, shown after 20 completed orders.
- Selling since
- The month of the seller’s first completed order on SafiSend.
- Pay on delivery
- You pay the rider when your order arrives. New sellers start with small limits that grow as they verify and deliver.
If something goes wrong
Every order page has a delivery code the rider must enter, and a way to report a problem to us. We never hold your money: pay-on-delivery is paid to the rider, and M-Pesa payments go through our licensed payment partner.
